James The Jeweller

From a young age James was always interested in design and making things with his hands.

His interest in design first originated in fashion design, then automotive design then later and more seriously architecture.

During the last years of High School James found interest in Jewellery and luxury items through a diamond encrusted watch made by Jacob & Co. which featured a tiger design composed completely by different coloured diamonds.

The awe of having never seen anything so complicated and impressively crafted the desire began. After exploring an Introductory to Jewellery Manufacture course, that desire quickly became an obsession

James then enrolled himself into a Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Engineering/Jewellery design and Metal Fabrication before starting employment as an apprentice under a very talented Melbourne Jeweller who spent many years designing and making jewellery pieces for companies such as Bulgari.

During his apprenticeship James absorbed all the knowledge and experience he could about Australian and European jewellery design and manufacturing techniques whilst also researching and staying up to date with the latest and most advanced techniques of making jewellery including the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and 3D printing.
